Smile CDR 2025.11.R01

Partitioning/MS
  • Patient ID Partition Mode is now supported in MegaScale
  • A new partition mode called Bucketed Patient ID Partition Mode has been added
  • FHIR transactions which span multiple MegaScale databases are now supported
  • New configuration setting allows a MegaScale repository in Patient ID Partition Mode to act as a document repository
  • Limitless Support
CDA Exchange+
  • Emergent 6.1.0 labeled tickets (Driver: USCDI v1 expiration as an acceptable standard for certifications under ONC's Health Data, Technology, and Interoperability (HTI-1) Final Rule. Result: CDA Exchange+ module now supports creation of FHIR resources conformant with US Core 6.1.0 , that corresponds to USCDI v3 data classes)
  • Revisit transformation strategy class hierarchy epic (Driver: Externalization of CDA:FHIR bidirectional mappings i.e. multi-release, multi-epic activity)
  • Miscellaneous feature enhancements on import (Driver: some customer requests from first 2 CDA Exchange+ module implementations)
  • Missing info compliance check fixes on export CDA output (Driver: Compliance testing on export. Result: Internal Validation testing with C-CDA R2.1)
Tokenization
  • A new operation ($update-tokenization) can be used to re-apply tokenization rules to existing data after changes to the ruleset
Storage
  • A new operation ($sdh.resource-body-offload) can retroactively move resource bodies to offloaded binary storage, expected to save between 10-40% of DB space
Bulk Operations
  • Two new operations called $hapi.fhir.bulk-patch and $hapi.fhir.bulk-patch-rewrite-history can be used to make changes to a large number of resources at once
