Smile CDR 2024.05.R01 

  • Several enhancements have been made to the International Patient Summary generator based on feedback from implementers. We have redesigned it to be much more flexible.

  • EasyShare+ is a new experimental module implementing the SMART Health Link (SHL) standard, for sharing IPS documents using a QR code.

  • OpenTelemetry allows for exporting of telemetry data (traces, metrics and logs) from Smile CDR using protocols and data formats defined by a widely-supported, open industry standard.

  • Customers can now customize their MDM rulesets through the UI for many mature FHIR resources.

HAPI FHIR 7.2.0 

  • Various improvements for FHIR, Package Installations, Topic Subscriptions and more.

Clinical Reasoning 

  • dQM resource validation enhancements. Added validation checks (e.g., correct measurement period intervals, measureId, parameter resource references (e.g., practitioner, subject) to give the user more useful feedback on what’s required to execute a measure evaluation successfully.

  • Sunsetting of CQF Ruler. CQF Ruler was the reference open-source implementation of FHIR’s Clinical Reasoning module. As of this release, the CQF Ruler functionality will be migrated entirely to the HAPI-FHIR JPA Starter Project, and the CQF Ruler Project will be sunsetted.

  • Clinical Reasoning docs overhaul. The Clinical Reasoning documentation pages have been overhauled with additional information and detail around its capabilities and use cases.


  • Bug fixes and dependencies updates.
